16th Nov 2008 Michael Fitzpatrick Coventry What an enjoyable site. Just came across it whilst looking for a christmas quiz of Coventry. Sorry to say that I am no relation of Mike Fitzpatrick as I came to Coventry in the 60's from Wigan. Similar background though. Roots apprentice, tried an apprenticeship at Alfred Herberts with no luck. Attended the Butts College also. I will try to read all of the details in the pages.

We once owned a 1936 BSA Scout and would love to know who owns it now. We had to part with it when we came to Australia.
Please keep on with this site, both you and Steven are talented.
Bye for now.

26th Jan 2007 Gary Burchill Leighton Buzzard, Bed's Hi, Seen your other family sites so just had to see yours. I must say your site is very good too!
I like your car photos. The transport museum is in what was the old G.E.C. works in Cook Street, I know this as I worked there in 1965 to 1968, a long time ago now. We used to go to a pub called The Turks Head, in Cook St, but you would not know of such things! All the best to you.
20th Jul 2006 Leah Poole (your class mate) Church Lane, Coventry Hello Mandy. I think your photos are fantastic.

I'm nearly at school now, my name is Stella and I have a wee sister called Olivia. I don't have an email yet so will you send it to my grannys house please, your pictures are lovely. I live in Newton Mearns in Glasgow, and my mum is pretty. See you soon. Love Stella and Olivia
29th Mar 2006 Michael Burgess Originally Coventry I love your website which I found whilst searching the internet to find information to build my own website. Coventry is the City where I was born in 1938 and the City that I still love.
I shall try very hard to create my own website as good and informative as yours.
12th Mar 2006 Roland Talbot Letchworth Garden City Born in Church Lane, Coventry. I moved like many others south for career reasons in the 1970's. With my mother still living in the same house and our narrow-boat (Hey Jude) being moored at Braunston, I visit Coventry regularly, however not actually visiting the city centre for some years. It was a chance cyber meeting with the website author that drew its attention to me. I have found it facinating and it has renewed my interest in the old city. Many thanks.
16th Feb 2006 Joan Pulham Cyprus Thank you, Mandy and Steven, for showing me your photos of Coventry. I haven't been back to visit the city for about 5 years. I came to live in the war-torn area in 1946. We lived in Tile Hill for a few years where I taught at Templars' School but then moved to Burton Green and then taught in Kenilworth. In 1977 I bought a house in Cannon Park but now live in the sun in Cyprus.

15 Nov 2005 Doug Canada Hi Mandy:
You have a very pretty name. That has been one of my favorite names. Thanks for all the pictures of Coventry. You live in a nice city. The webpage your father made is outstanding. I've always had an interest in World War 2 history & have read the story about the November 14,1940 bombing raid on Coventry in history books. From the ashes of devastation came a new city to once again takes it's rightful place alongside the other great cities of the world.
All the best to you and you family.
Doug

11th May 2005 Bob Nelsen California Hello Mandy,
I've just left a message on Steven's website and wanted to say hello to you, too.
It was very nice meeting you and your family last month in that old pub in Coventry. Remember all the old timbers, the old stairs, and the huge fireplace?
I hope to be able to see you all again one day when I return to Coventry. If your family decide to holiday in California some time, it would be my pleasure to show you around.

19th Dec 2004 Jim Herring Ridgeland MS. USA Hello Steve and Mandy,
I am nearly 72 years old, and I have throughout my life always loved to see pictures of the British Isles. I love finding their location on the English map which I began to learn when I was 7 years old. After Pearl Harbor at Honolulu Hawaii was attacked by the Japanese Dec. 7th 1941, ( which I yet remember! ) , two of my uncles went to England in the American Army, and we would sometimes hear radio broadcasts about WWII all the way from London, when the weather in Jackson MS. was good enough!
Your pictures are excellent, with beautiful composition, some reminding me of 19th century paintings, which are my favorite. I hope you will put more of the pictures you make next year on your website for us in America to see! Thank you. Jim Herring, Ridgeland MS. USA
2nd Dec 2004 Amy Fletcher, North Carolina, USA Hi. My husband is originally from Coventry. And has been in America now for almost 4 years. We go to Cov every year at Christmas, we are actually getting ready for this years trip. It is really nice to look up websites of Coventry to show people here where he is from. Your photos are great. Keep up the lovely work for all the ex-pats who like to see a piece of home every now and then.
